I got a different meal to what I ordered, what do I do?
As the meals are made and packed by humans rather than machines the odd mistake is bound to happen. Please simply give us a call and we'll sort things out.
My meals defrosted on the courier - what is your refund policy?
Please phone us as soon as possible and we will a) give the courier a telling off and b) arrange for the return of the defrosted meals and then c) send out new frozen meals that will arrive frozen!
What if I'm not home when the courier arrives?
They are instructed to leave in a shady place by the door. Meals should stay frozen for most of the day. Please get them into a freezer ASAP. If you know you have to go out simply call our staff and we can make arrangements to suit.
Is the plastic packaging safe in a conventional oven?
Yes. The special plastic packaging and clear film is safe to heat in a conventional oven (at temperatures up to 180C). Do not place too close to element.
What's the difference between the personal service and the next day courier service?
With the personal service we only deliver at certain times on certain days. We expect to meet the customer and deliver the meals straight into the freezer. We can also explain how to heat meals. The personal service can also take your payment, whereas courier delivery must be paid for in advance.
Is fresh or frozen food better for you?
The technology of frozen food has improved dramatically in recent years and it is now possible to freeze food in a matter of minutes. The end result is that frozen food is often a ‘fresher’ better quality and more nutritious product than its ‘fresh’ equivalent as ‘fresh’ foods can take a week to get to your plate.
I am thinking about ordering these for my elderly mother. What is the difference between Meals on Wheels and this option?
Meals on Wheels are delivered hot in the middle of the day with no choice of meal. The Tomorrows Meals option gives customers a choice and variety of meals that they can heat and eat when it suits them. Also Meals on Wheels often do not deliver in the weekends whereas Tomorrows Meals can provide meals 7 days of the week.
